Many patients with high-risk conditions benefit from shared management between their primary obstetric provider and our Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists.
We offer co-management for conditions including, but not limited to:
- Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
- Pregestational and gestational diabetes
- Thyroid disease
- Autoimmune disorders
- Cardiac conditions
- Renal disease
- Prior preterm birth
- Cervical insufficiency
- Placental abnormalities
- Fetal growth restriction
- Multiple gestations
- Fetal anomalies
In a co-management model:
- The OB remains the primary obstetric provider
- MFM provides consultation, ultrasound, and ongoing surveillance as clinically indicated
- Recommendations and results are communicated promptly and clearly
- Delivery remains with the referring OB unless otherwise requested
This collaborative approach ensures continuity of care while providing your patient access to specialized expertise as needed.
