Ultrasound Preparation
There is no special preparation required for your ultrasound appointment. If you are scheduled for a first trimester ultrasound, we do ask that your bladder be on the fuller side. Drinking a small amount of water prior to your arrival can help improve visualization.
Visitors
Due to the nature of our specialty practice, we allow one companion, over the age of 10, to accompany you to your appointment. This policy helps ensure our sonographers and physicians have the space and focus needed to provide you with the highest level of care. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in your appointment being rescheduled.
For safety reasons, any minors brought to our office and left in the waiting room must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Patient Information Updates
We kindly ask that patients notify our office of any changes to insurance, address, or referring OB provider as soon as possible.
Insurance & Billing
We are a specialty practice and bill as such. Our office will verify that your insurance coverage is active and that we are in-network; however, it is the patient’s responsibility to contact their insurance provider regarding deductibles, co-insurance, or out-of-pocket costs. We are happy to provide any information you may need to assist with this process.
New Patient Arrival & Check-In
If you are a new patient, please arrive 5–10 minutes early and bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card. While we work closely with Sharp providers, we are a private practice with our own registration process and policies.
Please be sure to check in with our front desk upon arrival; registration paperwork will be provided at that time. Forms may also be completed ahead of time by downloading and printing them from our website. Please note that checking in through the Sharp app does not replace checking in with our office.
Cancellations & No-Shows
We require 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. A $30 no-show fee will be applied to appointments missed or canceled within this time frame.
