Yvonne Gollin


Yvonne Gollin was born in Germany. Her family relocated to El Paso, Texas when she was 7yrs old. She attended Stanford University where she received her Bachelors in Science.  From there, she traveled up the California coast to attend medical school at UCSF. It was there that she discovered her love for obstetrics and matched at Yale University in Obstetrics and Gynecology.   She completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Yale,  where she ended up spending a total of 8 years.  While at Yale, Dr. Gollin trained with some of the world’s innovators and leaders in perinatal care and fetal ultrasonography. She has introduced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to all of the institutions at which she has practiced.  She especially enjoys fetal transfusions and ultrasound.

Before moving to San Diego, Dr. Gollin was a faculty member at the Yale, Texas Tech and Loma Linda University schools of medicine.   She has won multiple awards for her teaching of medical students and residents at each institution she has worked.  Dr. Gollin has been sought after by patients, particularly other obstetricians, to be their personal physician.

Dr. Gollin met her husband Gerald, a pediatric surgeon at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, while in medical school in San Francisco.   She has one son in high school and another in college.  Dr. Gollin enjoyed windsurfing in many different countries, but transitioned into snowboarding with her boys.
